WHAT YOUR TUITION FEES COVER
Private piano lessons at Dr. Maria Guénette’s Music Studio are considered more than weekly standing appointments, in which a specific time slot is reserved for the student. Other than one-on-one instruction led by highly-skilled and highly-trained professional on a Steinway Model B grand piano with 'QRS Music Technologies' recording and self-playing capabilities, the tuition fee includes various teacher services:
1. Annual dues incurred for national, state and local memberships, which allow students to participate in contests and performances.
2. Volunteer services during local contests and performances.
3. Fees and time organizing for Annual Spring Recital at a venue with an elevated stage and full reception of food/drinks, which are at no extra cost to the student.
4. Hard copy, upon request, of a semester-end report and summary, which allows the student to view their weekly progress and achievements in detail.
5. Attendance of monthly teacher meetings as part of professional development toward improvement of teaching.
6. Monthly website fees to maintain organization of studio and accounting.
7. Mandatory semi-annual tuning and maintenance of piano due to frequent/daily usage.
8. Daily teacher availability, such as grading of written assignments, video performance production and feedback, piano purchase consultation, reference letters and access to email/text for communication with students and parents.
9. Office supplies, including printer ink and paper for photocopies available to students as needed, as well as printing of recital programs and newsletters.
10. Web orders and music store visits to pick up music books and materials as needed by the student for their convenience. (Students are responsible for the cost of books).
